Different Types of Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing is quite overwhelming to understand. In the early 2000s, Google was the “only” relevant digital platform besides the e-mail marketing strategies. Nowadays, we have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, TikTok, Google Maps, Influencer Marketing, etc.

E-Mail Marketing

While we have different ways to close a deal online, I genuinely think e-mail addresses are the essential data to capture. You can inform, educate and promote new products without dealing with any of the other options out there. Basically, it means you have a free ticket to test your new product or service.

Search Engine Optimization – SEO

While it gets harder and harder to rank your website correctly, SEO has become more complex than it has ever before. In the early stages, it was pretty simple. Write out the desired keyword you want to rank 1000 times and set the font size as small as possible.
Currently, Google values more than just keywords. From User Experience ( UX ) to validation of Social Media channels, Referral Domains, Backlinks, Video usage, External link building, etc.

Social Media Marketing

Social Media is more complex than posting on behave a person. We have to utilize hashtags, Posting times, audience research, multi-platform usage to Social Media Ads. I remembered in 2015, the majority of small business owners expected Social Media to disappear soon.
Now in 2021, we see even more Social Media Start-Ups launching a new way of connecting.

Chatbot Messaging

Chatbots are widely known but unpopular to use hence the different laws and regulations in other countries. I do not use Chatbots enough to dive deeper into the matter. I recommend visiting my friend Ryan Horst & The BotDoc.

Content Marketing

Content Marketing Goes hand in hand with SEO, Social Media Marketing, and E-Mail Marketing. This form of Marketing brings the most amount of value for a FREE price point.
By creating pure value, you will eventually receive the benefits of a Search Engine Ranking boost and increase your popularity within your industry. Therefore, your target audience will see you ultimately as the leader and get back to you because you are the first in your customers’ minds.

The Digital Marketing Goal

Ultimately, you want to incorporate everything into your business to be successful and independent from any “Algorithm changes.” Again, your e-mail addresses are the only asset nobody can take away from you once you have them.
But you are responsible to not over-use the asset because that can lead to unsubscribes and, therefore, loss of potential revenue.

If you want to get started in freelance work and make some extra money, you might want to check out my SideHustle Page that goes deeper into the money-making part.
However, in terms of digital marketing, you want to think long-term. You want to get into Content Marketing as soon as possible. The downside is it will take time to see results from your efforts you put in today. With PPC( Pay-Per-Click Campaigns ), you can get results much faster, but it does involve money to find out what works and what doesn’t.

Thanks for reading, and let me know if I forgot anything. I’ll see you soon.
