Pick A Hobby That Suits Your Dream Life

Yesterday, I bought an additional lens for the camera I got a few days ago. While watching endless videos on how to take pictures, what lenses to use, and types of lens filters I might need to take particular pictures. That’s when I noticed I want to share this with you when starting out a side hustle or a tiny business.

This is the first time in my life that I exactly know what I want to achieve. And I am not talking about the money. Kind of, but not really, haha. But let me explain.

You Pick Some Thing You Are Interested In

I picked up photography because of multiple reasons. Some of them include socializing with people that have the same hobby. Or having a reason to go on some incredible hikes, capture the moment with photos, and enhance my way of seeing things from a different perspective.

Now, those things I listed are the leisure side of it. As I mentioned earlier, I have a specific goal in mind. That requires a basic understanding of how to take pictures. My ultimate goal is to reach professional motorsport. And there are many dynamics I need to be aware of, so I can achieve that goal.

Start with the end in mind

A few years back, I read a book on what to do to achieve your goal. And I came across The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. One of the chapters was about having an end in mind before you start planning anything. I didn’t really know how exactly I could apply this to my situation. However, now I know what the end will look like. I know that I will be, and I need to work and reverse plan my way to where I am now.

But let me show you an example of mine.

Content Creation Leads To Opportunities

I picked up the camera not for the money but for the opportunity that comes with it. Why? Because it allows me to go to places, it lets me interact with people around the world who are interested in similar things as I am.

And I only believe in it so much because I was able to see it with my eyes that someone was traveling for the photography. Travel expenses and food were covered by the client. That’s when I said, “I need to do something like that.”

Conclusion

Ultimately, you need to know where you want to be to find things that lead to that goal. It doesn’t have to be as extraordinary as mine. It can be something different. But You need to paint the picture for yourself. find inspiration for what seems nice and dive in…

So, tell me what something you’d like to achieve is? What’s a thing or event you didn’t really think of it as serious? Then, drop it in the comments down below, and we can find a way that lets you pursue your goal in actionable steps.

I’ll see you soon
