$10,000 are on the line. Yes, you’ve read that right. Last week, I bet $10,000 on something I wouldn’t have thought I would. Can you guess on what team I choose to ‘risk’ all my chips?

Team Niclas Haritos
It sounds bizarre, I know. But the truth is, the last time I bet on myself was over a decade ago. I am an athlete at heart, and it shows that I’ve lost the drive I used to have related to sports. I wasn’t able to reflect sports mentality into the real world.
So how did I end up betting $10,000?
I met a guy named Tyler, and he lives in Florida. Initially, I wanted to see if he was interested in being a salesperson for V Eight Marketing. However, after several calls and texts, I realized he had a greater plan than just being a sales guy.

He started a Video Content Creation agency for busy business owners, athletes, and content creators. And I thought this was awesome! Because someone who’s chasing the greater good is rare to find.
Does this mean he’s my competitor? Yes, yet I support his cause. There’s plenty of business out there, and it’s good to have someone to talk to about similar topics. His work ethic seemed like mine when I was younger, a decade ago.
That’s when it struck me. Why not make a bet that holds ourselves accountable? So, that’s what we did. We set ourselves a goal. That seems impossible, but deep inside, we know it is possible based on the numbers.
Why do I feel like this is a good thing even if I may end up losing the money?

Two factors influenced me when I came up with the idea.
- Increase competitiveness
- Set an ‘unrealistic’ goal forces you to think outside the box
It’s like the old saying goes: “Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars. ”
The problem of you aiming too low may result in never finding out your true potential. But if you aim too high, you’ll find your true potential.
However, It took me a while to remove the “bad vs. good” feeling about failing and experiencing disappointment, fear, and anger. It turns out it just is part of the game. And as we all know. We play by the rules the game has and not what we wished for to exist.
The Bet
Now, this is my bet:
Earn $899,100 by 25th January 2024. That means, by the deadline, my gross revenue will be equal to or greater than $74,925/month; if I fail to accomplish that, I’ll owe Tyler $10,000.
A crazy bet! I mean… it’s absolutely nuts. And weirdly, I am incredibly excited about how I’ll get there.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next time.
